Indian Bride Abandons Wedding After Groom Fails Simple Maths Test
Less than a month after one Indian bride married a guest at her wedding following a collapse by her groom-to-be, whose epilepsy was not disclosed to her [read here], another Indian bride has walked out of her wedding because her groom-to-be failed to solve a simple maths problem, according to various news reports.
Local police in Uttar Pradesh said they mediated between the families, and both sides returned all the gifts given before the wedding. BBC reports that the groom's family tried to convince the bride to return, but she refused saying the man was illiterate. The bride asked the groom to add 15 and six. When he replied 17, she called off the marriage.

18 Year Old Forced into Marriage Stabs Husband To Death 4 Days After Wedding

An 18-year-old who was allegedly forced to marry a man she did not love, is said to have killed her husband in Kano on Wednesday. The woman, Rahma Hussaini and the deceased, 24-year-old Tijjani Basiru had just gotten married on Friday, February 20th.
The new housewife killed her newly wedded husband at Darmunawa quarters of Kano at their matrimonial home after a quarrel with the groom. A neighbour, Isa Alhassan told Vanguard that the young couple got married last Friday, pointing out that “from what we heard the union was a product of forced marriage”.
